SELECTING A FIREPLACE
If you are not sure what type of fireplace is best for the room or area of your home where it is to be installed, we can assist with narrowing down your selections based on several factors:• The basic interior decor around where the fireplace will be located
• If it is not intended to be mostly decorative, the area to be heated by the fireplace
• How much you are willing and able to spend on a new fireplace
We take the time to help you find a fireplace that fits your preferences while maintaining your budget. Our CSIA Certified installer then gets to work to install your selected fireplace. The installation process may also include the area around your fireplace.
Masonry fireplaces are the traditional wood burning fireplaces made of brick or stone. Sheet metal fireboxes are used in manufactured fireplaces. These can be fueled by wood, natural gas, propane, pellets, etc.
A newly constructed flue includes a cap to prevent water damage to the flue and appliance below. The caps include a spark screen which prevents sparks from exiting the chimney and doubles as a barrier to keep birds and other animals and debris out. We also offer a full complement of accessories for your fireplace including:
• Fireguards
• Log boxes
• Grates
• Pokers
• Bellows
• And More…
FREE STANDING STOVE INSTALLATION
The same process described for fireplaces applies to stove installations. Wood or gas stoves are typically placed in the corner of a room or against an outside facing wall, providing comfortable radiant heat. The area around the stove is then constructed with approved materials and clearances, in accordance with local regulations, following the instructions given by the manufacturer, ICC and NFPA codes. If one does not already exist, a stove pipe and chimney is installed for safe and efficient venting of the combustion by-products. With regular maintenance, a free standing fireplace can be a great addition to your home, providing warmth and a cozy place to unwind from the day’s business.Call us at (309) 744-2419 to schedule an appointment.
